Grant meeting for mid-career dancers & choreographers is Feb. 26 at VSA MN

Mid-career dancers and choreographers with or without disabilities are invited to an information meeting to learn how they can apply for $25,000 McKnight Fellowships for Choreographers and Dancers. The meeting will be on Monday, February 26 at 5:30 PM at VSA Minnesota, located in Room 305 of the Cowles Center for Dance, 528 Hennepin Ave. in Minneapolis. Staff for the McKnight Fellowship office will answer individual questions. Choreography and dance are two of the ten program areas in which The McKnight Foundation awards individual artist fellowships. The Cowles Center for Dance & The Performing Arts administers the McKnight Fellowships for Choreographer and Dancers program, which is designed to enrich and strengthen our community by acknowledging the accomplishments of individual choreographers and dancers and providing for their artistic growth. The Foundation recognizes that the arts cannot flourish or enhance community life without the ideas, energy, and drive of individual artists, and that artists cannot make these contributions without unfettered creative time.
