State Arts Board showcases ‘As We Are’ exhibit

Beginning with the Saint Paul Art Crawl on October 13 and continuing through February, The Minnesota State Arts Board is presenting AS WE ARE, a visual arts showcase featuring artists with disabilities. More than 35 Minnesota visual artists are represented who produced work with the support of an Arts Board grant, either as individual artist grantees or through organizations serving individuals with disabilities. The art forms represented include photography, drawing, mixed media, and painting.

Five who participated in VSA Minnesota’s statewide Mural Project in 2015: Mark Davison (Living an Inspired Life), Dunji Diego (Untitled), Cecile Bellamy (Dahlia Girl), Samantha Esguerra (Touch & See), Stacey O’Connell (Untitled). Other artists include: Shirley Atkinson, Sherry Bartholomew, Elizabeth Blair, Braun, Cerenity 512 Poets, Carl Clark, Vance Diamond, Jeanette Dorrian, Michael Dvorak, Delores Erbele, Christi Furnas, Deb Geelsdottir, Kailin Gyusti-Brown, Sarah Hannah, Peggy LaBlanc, Margie Lindberg, Lucianna Linkert,Jill Lynne Ness, Gayle Olson, Jane Parrish, Orrin Qualley, John Roberts, Anne Sawyer-Aitch, Don Sundeen, Derek Swing, Liza Sylvestre, Philip Teravskis, Tim Traver, Stephanie Wilcox, Anita Zurn. The exhibit in the Arts Board offices, 400 Sibley Street, Suite 200, St. Paul, opened during the Saint Paul Art Crawl and continues through February during office hours, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
