The Show Art Gallery seeks artists for CO Lab

The Show Art Gallery Lowertown is a nonprofit cooperative art space promoting creative diversity and inclusion – located at 346 N. Sibley Street, St. Paul, near the St. Paul Saints Ballpark. It is seeking participants for its Co Lab exhibition, which has been featured two years in a row on KARE–11 and is home to the Bill Murray Choice Award. The project pairs 20 teams of self-taught artists with professional artists to create work together. It’s a way for artists to connect with creative people from a different walk of life, and look at their art with a totally new perspective. This year‘s project will include performance art, writing and textiles as well as visual arts, sculpture and film/video.

If you are an artist who would like to be paired with another artist for this project, please provide the following information to: by Friday, July 21:
• Name
• Medium of choice
• Work samples in the form of .jpeg attachments of link to portfolio website
• Availability; i.e. “Not available on weekends”, or “Tuesdays from 12-4 work best”.

All Art Teams should be available to meet at least 3 times, over August/September/November to conceptualize and create their work. The Co Lab opening reception will be in in December, when Murray will choose his favorite piece of artwork from the collection.
