CabarABLE Nov. 17-18

The fourth annual CabarABLE show featuring artists with disabilities will be presented Friday-Saturday, November 17-18 at 7:30 PM. Presented by Patrick’s Cabaret in collaboration with VSA Minnesota, the event will take place at Pangea World Theater, 711 West Lake St., Minneapolis.

Beneath the word CABARABLE (in caps with ABLE underlined) are eight outstretched hands and arms of different colors.

Performing on the theme “WEIRD: Embracing the Weirdness,” artists include:
Alex Renshaw – Poetry,
Amy Salloway – Storytelling,
Rae Skahl – Poetry,
Filip Swiergul – Comedy,
Treading North – Music,
Emily Weiss – Dance.

Curating the show is actor and teaching artist Nikki Abramson, who appeared in the 2016 CabarABLE and recently produced the Fringe Festival show “Beyond Limits.”

Each performing act will have up to 15 minutes to share negative “life sucks” moments, embrace weird and awkward moments of disabilities and lives, interpret weird as a good thing, leading to a more inclusive world, or any other artistic response.

ASL interpretation will be available Friday, audio description Saturday. Request other disability accommodations at 612-724-6273 or

Tickets: $10 from participating artists, $10 (+ service fee) online, $12-15 sliding scale at the door.
