Art Shanties 2018 All Access Weekend is Feb. 3-4

This year’s creative Art Shanties and lively performances with audience participation are on the frozen surface of Lake Harriet weekends through February 11, 2018. The All Access Weekend on February 3 & 4 includes:
SATURDAY: 30-minute ASL Interpreted tours of Shanty Village at the top of each hour starting at the Welcome Shanty (Interpreter: Asher Edes);
SUNDAY: 30-minute Audio Described tours starting at the Welcome Shanty (Describer: Connie Fullmer);
EACH DAY: Kick-sleds and wheelchair sleds are available to assist with transportation to, around and within the shanty village. Extra volunteers are available for visitors seeking mobility assistance on ice.
Free admission to this uniquely Minnesotan festival eliminates financial barriers to participation.
Daily activities each weekend from 10 AM – 4 PM are listed on the Art Shanty Projects website or on Facebook.
Location: Lake Harriet, 4135 W Lake Harriet Pkwy, Minneapolis — enter near the Bandshell.
