Alzheimer’s conference, documentary and support group

The Alzheimer’s Association Meeting of the Minds Dementia Conference is Saturday, March 18 at St. Paul RiverCentre. The all-day conference for people with early stage dementia, caregivers, family members, friends, and professionals includes breakout sessions, vendors of services and resources, and sharing opportunities. A PBS documentary, “Alzheimer’s: Every Minute Counts,” is airing on Twin Cities Public TV. The documentary touches on many aspects of people facing the disease, including the economic effects.

One of the Alzheimer’s support groups of family members and caregivers meets in Stillwater the second Tuesday of the month at 6:30 PM at First Presbyterian Church, 6201 N Osgood Ave. Upcoming meetings are March 14, April 11, May 9, June 13, July 11, August 8, Sept. 12, Oct. 10.
